very very very irritated. spent all this time making it pretty and shit just to tear it back apart over something dumb. but hey atleast it sounded cool

Bummer, but it looks and sounds good. it made me think of my past years of hot rod boats. I blew outdrives and engines regular enough that when I would get back to the launch being towed, my wife would say, "but it looks good".

    Thinking back 25 years ago......

Is it possible that the manifold is not making good contact with the block? The shop had to take 2-thousandths off the LT4 heads when they received them from the porter (CNC Cylinder Heads, Pinellas, FL). They were not "flat". Did your guy who cleaned up the ridge in the exhaust port do anything? 2-thousanths shouldn't be a problem... but just a thought.

it's an rtv issue, my own fault. didn't have china wall leaks with the last 2 intakes. I was stingy on the rtv and let it skin up too much. if I would've dropped it right in instead of waiting 10-15 mins it probably wouldn't be leaking

will have definitive answer tonight after work. it's half apart. have to disconnect fuel/steam/nitrous line and 12 intake bolts, then pull

hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. went over some of the life bs in the camaro thread.

got the intake pulled and re-rtv'd. front was wayyy too thin, all seems good now, I did have the 2nd in from front passenger side intake bolt wheeping oil again, but believe i resolved that. think that bolt leaking stemmed from the previous intake I ran 1206 sbc intake gaskets, but now I'm running afr 6860 lt4 gaskets, and had to cut the holes for the sbc pattern. that 1 bolt overlaps the lt1 hole. I rtv'd the shit out of a new bolt and smushed a washer with rtv in there.

currently today changing oil to 10w30 penngrade since I'll be running na for a bit to dial it in, and changing plugs.

also we worked on the trailer and got the ramp door redone with new wood, and a flap. test towed the camaro and all seems well.

I am off next weekend the 21st thru 25th for my birthday, and am debating going to island on the 23rd for test n tune and running na, or going to the speed shop at the chassis cert day and having the cage checked to see if we can just have roof/a pillar bars added to the existing.

the car is definitely a bit spicier even than the vic efi and accufab setup. hope it translates on the track
