Thanx, fellas. All your suggestions helped....I found some wire seals @ work & the methods mentioned worked excellent. I bought some 3M double sided tape but lookin' @ it I think it's gonna be tedious to cut to conform to all the small points & gaps on the emblems. I ordered a bowtie online that came with the tape precut on it. I want to see the paint job thru the emblems so I'm thinkin' there must be a spray on adhesive I can buy to do the trick. Any suggestions ya'll?

You dont have to get 3m on every nook anf cranny. Just cover the majority of it. Anything less than the 3m will fall off later. Also a xacto knife or thin razor blade wll be your friend here.

Something I've always used with great success, is an old McDonalds Gift Card. I've had the card and used it for about a year now. I carry it in my wallet and when I'm in the junkyard and find an emblem I simply slide it behind the emblem and it comes right off. Never had any issues or scratched paint with it. Works like a charm .

Ill have to try the fishing line method.

I carefully use a sharp 2" putty knife and cut the emblem off leaving the tape on the body. Then use an eraser tool to remove the rest
