SO get this... today I recieve an email from the boss that reads...
"I removed a cartoon-type posting from a work station this morning that is clearly not police department business related. Furthermore, that posting could be interpreted as racial in nature and no such postings of any type will be allowed. DO NOT POST ANYTHING AT ANY PLACE IN THIS BUILDING THAT IS NOT POLICE DEPARTMENT BUSINESS RELATED WITHOUT MY EXPRESSED CONSENT.
Please advise of any questions or comments immediately."
I think to myself... that sounds serious...what is he talking about... so I arrive to work to find out it is a picture I printed weeks ago of LORETTA BROWN, ex wife of CLEVLAND BROWN from the FAMILY GUY series of cartoons.... thats right, he was refering to this CARTOON pic...
After laughing it off, I went through my work email, and found an email from the Boss to call him. I did, he discussed some work stuff with me, then scolded me on hanging this on another officers desk... I corected him and stated that I gave it to the other Officer, after discussing a subject we had dealt with looked just like the cartoon character. I then reminded the BOSS that he and I even laughed about the pic a few weeks ago, when he originally saw it......
He FIRMLY STATED "I dont want anyone thinking we are profiling....it is clearly a black person." Sooooooo as sarcastically as I could I replied, "I understand sir, I do not want any of our black cartoon character residents to think that we are out looking for them specifically." He got irritated and spoke over me and stated that if it is not police related he did not want it hanging in our "EMPLOYEES ONLY" office, becaue "its not a locker room." I stated, YES SIR, I UNDERSTAND SIR, no more prime time cartoon characters unless it is Police related.
Now that my sarcastic conversation ended... Is it not more racist to think that a photo of a black cartoon character is RACIST, when it has nothing to do with color? If it was PETER GRIFFIN that I hung up... would it have been an issue......
Is this cartoon racist (secretaries area) because they depict white people????

Well , just got called over to the TWP office today, to pick up a hand delivered packet.
Turns out they have set up another Doctors appointment for me. This time its very official like... I have to sign all types of release forms for this Doctor to gather all of my records from any Doctor that may have treated me for this/these injuries.
The cover letter was titled.... "EMPLOYMENT STATUS and FITNESS FOR DUTY EXAM....."
I have to have all of the paperwork back to them by 4/25/2013.... and the appointment is scheduled for MAY 23rd... more than a month PLUS away....
oh well....day by day.................
PS- I still have been rejected from being able to get any of my medications.
