    Default Master Power turbo

What do you guys know about the cheap master power turbo that I see for sale on ebay everyday? I've noticed there are a lot of people running them but are they a good turbo or are they a waste of money?

I actually run one on the Z. They are a great budget minded turbo! People have been making decent levels of power on them and they have proved themselves to be pretty reliable. They have a 76mm out now that is supposed to be a lot more efficient than the 70mm that I'm running.

When they first came out people were having problems with the shaft and it has since been upgraded and implemented into their design. A lot of the mustang guys swear by them and so far I'm a believer...

Well thats good to know. I'm about to buy a turbo and just wasn't for sure if master power was the route to go. I wish I knew how many miles people are getting out of them.

master power is good, xs power is crap.

for the record i have 2 76's from them. you can buy 2-3 for what one turbonetics or precision of the same size costs.

You must be getting them cheap (cheaper than list).

If you compare a MPT76 (~$700) to a Turbonetics TC 76 ($1000), there isn't much difference in price, but T-netics quality has been proven to be better.

jrcc2002 - be sure to verify that the DP flange on the turbo outlet is the same size as a Precision or T-netics one. I use a precision turbo for mockup/build.

I was going to ask you if whatever turbo I was looking at would fit first before I actually bought it. But as of right now i'm just kinda looking around. Haven't made any purchase yet.

RealQuick, you have some really nice turbo kits. I'm still debating if I should buy a kit or build my own. It would be fun to build my own, but so nice to be able to bolt it in on a weekend LOL I may have to talk to you in the future when I have more funds available.

But to the OP I personally have never heard of a master power turbo, but from what I have heard it might not be a bad turbo. But I would much rather spend a little more money and get a good turbo from a company that would stand behind it if something were ever to go wrong.
