You should notice some leaking from the weep hole.

Take off your radiator fill cap and turn the engine on (while cold of course) and see if you see water circulating.
Yep its slow.

ur WP might be fine, u might only have a bad thermostat. WPs will only need to be replaced if it leaks from the bearing where the drive shaft goes imo,

I've replaced the radiator, thermostat, radiator cap. still heating up and leaking water. don't laugh but where is the water pump? passengers side correct? is it visible from the engine bay so i can inspect for leaking water . it just sucks that i rarely have time to mess with my car during the day.

Waterpump is on the front of the engine and is turned by the cam with a little sleeve that connects them. Those little sleeves can go bad and cause the car to verheat from the waterpump not circulating water efficiently but it is highly unlikely.
It is visible, you just have to look under the intake elbow.
If you are leaking water from there it is getting on your opti and it will go bad if you dont get it fixed soon.1997 Trans am- M6- Ebay Longtubes, Summit X pipe with Magnaflows, CAI, Adj LCAs with relocation brackets, Comp engineering shocks, Competition stage 2 clutch.

You can see the small "weep" hole in this pic:

If there is coolant leaking out of it, the water pump needs to be replaced.
Where are you leaking coolant from (or do you know)? Overheating can be a lot of things, most commonly air pockets in the cooling system. Have you checked all your hoses?1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 clone | Build Thread | - just needs paint!
