    my dad has a street rod, 69 maro, 66 chevelle and a chopper in his garage with no problems and they vent the gas fumes to the air. he welds and cuts all the time with no problems. its not that big of a deal. as soon as mines back together it will have all the evap stuff gone, canister and all.
