Yup, it could be many things, the burning software you use, the quality of the burn (typically, the slower you burn it the better quality), the disc quality/type, etc. Meh. I typically use it on a new CD for a week or so then I'll take the cd out and put it away before it gets scratched up beyond belief.

My cousins explorer wouldnt play his burned cds and he had to change the disk type from mp3 to cd or something like that.
He just basically changed the burn settings and it worked because his cd player wont play mp3 files on a cd.
Maybe you can play around with the settings and get it to work.1997 Trans am- M6- Ebay Longtubes, Summit X pipe with Magnaflows, CAI, Adj LCAs with relocation brackets, Comp engineering shocks, Competition stage 2 clutch.

I haven't had this issue in my 06 silverado. Its got the bose set up with in dash six disc changer

I got it to work... I used iTunes and it worked out!
