Progress
I went to eager beaver on my scalloping and had to swallow my pride on enlisting the services of a actual fab shop.

No real picture updates, but, a lesson here.
I switched intake elbows and since new one didn't have a throttle cable bracket, grabbed a janky one that sandwiches between TB and elbow. No huge issues with this setup, except..
I didn't check thread engagement on TB bolts, and kept having them back up. Me being me, for whatever reason decided they were 1/4-20 (they were not) and "fixed" the one bolt that backed out.
Then I couldn't figure out why it was not coming back down to idle when coasting and after basically turning off the IAC my brain still not computing anything was wrong..
Ya, low and behold, blew out TB gasket, never checked and had a massive vac leak. Holley took the wheel and made it like it wasn't there
Then to top things off, I couldn't for the life of me find socket head 1/4-28 so, since the one was boogered already, they got retapped to 1/4-20
tldr: Check your stuff when you are at the exciting put back together at the finish line stage.Correlation does not imply causation.
