Trans swap now motor overheating
So the th400 that was in my car with slip when it came time to change gears so I decided to build my very first transmission I swapped it a week ago and on the drive home everything went just fine with the transmission shifting when it needed to but now the motor slowly gets hotter and hotter almost like the thermostat is stuck open I put a new thermostat in the car and the temperature still slowly creeps up I'm at a complete loss because I did absolutely nothing to the motor and it was running just fine before hand any idea what would cause this?

Maybe ya pinched or kinked the steam tube between the heads at the rear of the motor? Even a ding in such a small diameter tube worries me when I think of my upcoming tranny swap.

Of course, our cars absolutely need the air dam ... it's pretty uncommon but I wonder if the radiator is just getting worn out or if the radiator is partially full of sludge... I've driven it a few times this past two weeks. It seems like if the AIR temperatures outside are around 85 degrees and under the coolant will stay around 180 degrees and won't climb but if it's in the 90s the temperature slowly climbs up as i drive regardless of speed.

Got some factory fans and it seems to run cooler ... ill do some more test drives during the heat of the day.
