LT1/T56 into 1927 Ford Model T Roadster!
http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...n-the-pipeline......
^ The thread I started about my upcoming future project.
I picked up a body about 3 hours drive away from me, it's an original 1927 model T roadster steel body! It needs a bit of help (a few patch panels here and there, a couple of bullet holes filled in), but it's 84 years old!
I picked up a rolling chassis with a 10 bolt already in it, full suspension, everything has hem joints, with brake master cylinder, etc. about 6 hours away from me in Rolla, MO.
And of course, I have the 78,000 mile LT1/T56 in my garage that came out of my '97....just begging for a cam/valvetrain swap and a refresh (new timing set, opti, etc).
This is an UNDER $5,000 hot rod build. I guarantee it will look badass, and I'm sticking to the budget, no matter what it takes. I'm doing well so far, the body and frame total up at $2,650. About $400 worth of panels and body work supplies, and the body should be ready to paint. The paint setup is $150 (Hot Rod Flatz from TCP Global's Kustom Shop). All the other stuff should fall into place. Keep your eyes peeled for WTB ads by me!
I'll be needing:
CC503 cam
Moly pushrods
1.6 NSA rockers w/guideplates
Appropriate spring setup
Stock steel driveshaft (in good shape, but can have light surface rust and bad u-joints)
new or slightly used timing set
new or slightly used opti ('97 motor)
30# SVO's or something equivalent to around 33#-40# injectors
alternator relocation kit
alternator (used in good shape)
Be on the lookout for pics as they come! (There's a couple in the thread i posted above)'97 Z28...Sleeper648 RWHP 585 TQ - Speed INC Tuned! 383, F1A, blah blah

Holy crap guys! Life has been a wild ride to say the least since....scrolling up...2013????
So, I'm 35 now, and shit's been interesting for several years. Been doing a lot of growing up. Starting to feel older and on blood pressure pills already;
I won't go into a ton of detail, but life is good, I still have my 97 Z (although it's for sale...) and FINALLY got motivated again for the '27 Roadster in late 2017.
I will be updating the build thread again as things move along! Already dumped a bunch of money in it, and looking back at my foolish estimates on how much $$ this will take...I was WAAAYYY off as usual.
Plan is to be assembled/running by Winter 2019, tear it down and paint, and have it ready and on the road by Summer 2020.
Check out the build thread! http://www.ltxtech.com/forums/showth...r-Build!/page3
So glad to see you all still kickin' here, and that some of you haven't forgotten about lil 'ol me. This is my only form of social media that I really participate in besides snapchat on occasion. I'm a hermit now!'97 Z28...Sleeper648 RWHP 585 TQ - Speed INC Tuned! 383, F1A, blah blah
