That's EXACTLY the way I told my installer to do my custom chrome-moly roll bar and SFC's, 18 years ago. The roll bar components and SFC's all come together at the subframes, front and rear. Makes perfect sense to an “Injuneer”.

If you do a cage and SFC iv always tied them in together when using weld in components. in my eyes your essentially building a mini chassis in your chassis at that point. much more solid

Thank you both for chiming in. It makes perfect sense. In the 15 years I've been carrying this information around in my head, I'm glad it wasn't bogus.

Good idea ... that settled that ... weld in subs and weld the cage to that.
