As far as the cam, a B body will need to focus on Tq coming in sooner than a F body or Vette due to the extra weight.

Some better gears and stall will help the car accelerate easier and allow the use of a larger duration cam.

For the most part, a B body with stock 3.08 gears and no stall will be best with a cam in the 210-218 intake duration range.

A cam like this will have a pretty mild idle but focus on TQ right of idle and pull to 5800-6100 RPM.

Add some 3.42/3.73 gears and stall then you can use a cam in the low/mid 220 intake duration range if you want a choppier idle and more mid range and top end power.

Give me a call (972-617-5671) or email me (nighttrain66@msn.com) and we can go over your set up and I can let you know what cam would work best for your set up.

Wow they said u were stand up. Awesome info thanks. I haven't decided what to do. I have access to a used vette LT-1 with 30k miles on it, and if I go that route I would send the heads out and to you and do a head/cam work deal.

The car is a 94 Impy with a 6 speed and 4.56 gear. Sounds crazy but I run a little taller rear tire, 275/50/17, and it all seems to work. My bro set it all up that way before he passed and I got the car.

Thanks for the info and will be in touch.

    Mike
