A/C problem

I think you suppose to jump the compressor so it will take freon.But I dont know how to get it going.I put freon in it.But it still wont aork the A/C that is.It blows just no cold air and the compressor wont kick on.

Either the charge is low, charge is high, compressor is dead, or the low pressure switch is bad.
Why did you try recharging it in the first place? Did it slowly stop working? Or did you have ac lines off and now it doesn't work?
Only way to diag really is to get a set of ac manifold gauges and see what kind of pressure is in the system. You could short the low pressure switch and see if it kicks on the compressor but if you have no idea what kind of charge is in the system you risk more damage.

What kind of scan tool do you have? If none, I think you should get something, because you have had a lot of questions lately that could be answered by the scan tool. If you have a pc that can be placed in or near the car, you can use my free Scan9495 pc app. For an example, it would tell you the a/c refrigerant pressure that the pcm is seeing from the sensor, the status of the ac clutch relay feedback and the ac control switch. It can also force on the compressor clutch, although that is usually not recommended. And of course, any codes present. Cost for this is just the price of a cable (about $60).

Thanks for the offer.I just dont have a laptop at the moment.But I am going to a scan toll.Like was said I need one for all my questions.I didnt have A/C for a while.But now I need it for my grand babies.So I had a buddy charge it.I think the relay isnt kicking in at right now.Im going to start there.

Low a/c pressure can cause a DTC. The DTC will inhibit compressor operation until it is cleared. Clearing the DTC as you are trying to charge the system should allow the compressor to operate and bring the pressure up to where the DTC will no longer set. The compressor may initially run after the DTC is cleared, but if the pressure stays too low, the DTC will set once more and it will be inhibited again.
