Sticky BBK Throttle body

This. My BBK 58mm was sticky, and it has some kind of residue around the closed position of the throttle blades, interference from the blades to the bore, etc. I literally stripped the entire unit down, cleaned up the bores, cleaned up the blades, double checked the bearings, and while I was at it had the housing and blade assembly powdercoated. Put it all back together and it was smooth as butter.

a few years ago mine had a problem at the shaft that made the blades hang open. after looking at it off the car, it was obvious what the problem was. it needed a weld...iirc, the spring was not mated properly. anyway, after it was welded it worked just fine.
