Too much crankcase pressure?
Finally got a decent dyno pull on my 355 LE2. Only went to 5200 Rpm. 359 rwhp and 454 rwtq on a mustang dyno. The tuner said that it's still making power but didn't want to push it farther cause it was building too much crankcase pressure. At wide open throttle it's got white smoke out of the exhaust. I have a stock pcv setup. They're going to get a breather to replace the oil filler tube on the valve cover next week and see if that helps. Has anyone had this issue before? Other than that the car is running good.

I have seen this on a big block that required a crank case ventilation canister.

On open header track cars you can run a hose from the valve cover to header. Pulls minimal vacuum but does work ok.
If its a street car you could run a large breather that vents to atmosphere when it has pressure applied to it. Friend runs that on his 383 and cured most of his problems

I think there's something wrong with that torque number. Seems too high. I talked to the engine builder that built the shortblock and LE. They both said they don't think the rings have seated. Told the shop that and they said they still recommend a breather and that they think that I should put a few hundred miles on it 1st, then bring it back for the final tune.

I run open breathers and a big ole vent in my lifter valley, it will smoke at idle when cold but so far no other issues. If you can, spend the coin on a nice puke tank that utilizes the stock style PCV system. Mightymouse makes a nice one. I set one up for @blackbirdws6 and it works very well.

I'll have to ask the builder what rings he used.
