gmpp 846 cam
anyone have experience using 846 cam with stock heads and bolt ons.hoping to use this cam with long tubes cai exhaust system tune 323 gears.

why not go with a newer cam? that thing is a very old grind, not sure if they even still make them.

I'm sure that you can still get it from GMPP, if not I think it's just a Crane Powermax grind. Anywho, I'm sure if you Google it you'll find lots of info on that cam and the 847 from back in the archives.

I've seen good results from that 846 cam. It gives up nothing to the Hotcam at the bottom end, and is worth more as the revs go up. It'll make 400 to the wheels with good ported heads.
Also stronger than the CC503 at higher revs.1996 ImpalaSS - Stock bottom, AI topend - 10.98 @ 122 - NA, 10.35 @ 128 - 100 shot
