Default Sad day for Weiland fans.

Just figured I'd post this as a Scott Weiland fan. STP & Velvet Revolver frontman passed away at 48. They say cardiac arrest and that cocaine was found on his tour bus. Sadly, I'm but surprised.
Scott struggled with heroin addiction and such for years and was known for smacked out stage appearances. If any of you all are familiar with him, his career, distinct vocals, etc I'm sure you'll recognize the song Fall to Pieces from Velvet Revolver. The song was pretty much a depiction of his struggle with heroin.
I have to admit, I can relate to people who have struggled with addiction, it's an awful thing to be bound to a substance. My attitude towards drugs in the past year has really changed, I used to be neutral on the subject but I see the chaos and sadness that substance abuse ultimately brings to people's lives. Scott I guess was no different, it's not like drugs are respecter of persons.
I hope Scott Weiland will be remembered for his amazing talent and cool voice rather than the cause of his passing. RIP brother.

Scott/STP was very influential to me during the grunge era of music - which I was pretty much raised around. Can't say I didn't see this coming. A great frontman will surely be missed.

I hate grunge with a passion, but can appreciate the huge range he had vocally. Sad news indeed.
