    Default Turn Signal Problem

I bought my 97 Z28 a couple months ago. The high beams won't come on, the multi-function switch doesn't seem to pull back far enough to grab it. I put on some clear/smoked corners and used 3157 amber bulbs, it had a 3057 in the socket. Now when my headlights are on, the high beams come on automatically and I can't turn them off, as well as no turn signal on the left. When I have just the DRL/parking lights on, the left turn works fine. The socket does look burned and somewhat cruddy inside. Is that the obvious and only problem? Should I get a new connector and do the Multi function switch as well. I don't get why it worked fine before, changing the bulb made it go wacky.

I have the same problem with my high beams, multi function doesn't pull back far enough to activate the high beams. I bought another switch a while back but haven't had a chance to take apart the column to install it. I have found that when I tilt the wheel all the way up I can sometimes get them to come on, but it is annoying to have to do that every time I want to use the highs. I think the problem is in the switch, but from what I have read it is a huge PITA to replace it

The high beam switch isn't that hard to replace, but you have to drop the steering column down to get to it easier. It's mounted on the column itself, right next to the ignition switch (brown connector in pic).

I am not seeing the pic, but that may be because I am on my work computer. I was going to install the new switch when I was installing my sparco steering wheel, but from what I saw and read in the Haynes manual I had to completely disassemble the column which I really didn't feel like doing at the time. I will look at it again because it really sucks not having high beams
