Do you mean stock LT4 springs or the springs from the LT4 Hotcam kit? They're junk either way and cannot control heavy LT1 valves on a NA Hotcam motor. Add boost and it will be a disaster so you'll definitely need better springs and pushrods. If the rockers are from the kit then I'd run them (they are made by Crane).

Are the rockers promags?
I would find out if those Brian Tooley springs with the tool steel retainers will fit. They seem like a great deal for $239 and the retainers are only marginally heavier than titanium. A Hotcam is pretty mild and you won't be running much boost with stock compression anyway so I think 150lbs @ seat would work, if not you could always shim a hair more. I know it says the guides have to be machined on the BTR site but the kit is rated for .650" lift and you are nowhere near that. I'd ask a tech if it's necessary (although I doubt it). There should be adequate retainer/seal/guide clearance with a Hotcam but it doesn't hurt to ask.
If not then hit up Lloyd. He can get you a decent deal.Last edited by Catmaigne; 08-25-2015 at 08:08 AM.

XE 224/236 on a 114 lsa. .535/.555 lift
Proven cam that's been around for years. If you ever do a boost oriented build on the motor then I'd recommend a higher-lift version of the same cam.Cayenne Red Metallic 1997 Z28 M6
Bolt-ons, AI H/C/I, Hooker LTs, chrome ZR1s, etc.

I have the btr dual spring kit and it pulls to 6700. The guy that did my heads was very impressed with them. I am still on a stock bottom end.....

BTR is going to start selling the DBL spring kit any day now. He was gonna start machining his own retainers since that was hold up before I believe.
BTR donated some stuff to the LTX shootout so I wanted to give them a plug and let you guys know he will have spring kits shortly.
I am a dealer for them and can sell their stuff at a good price or just call them for a good product at a good price.
