    Default Crank gear install

    Ok what's the best way to install the crank gear? I've heard heat it up then I've heard beat it on but I was like ummmm iddddkkkk so what are yalls opinions and or advice

    Heat it up and beat it on....that's all I did, with a big piece of pipe

    I do the "heat" part....not the "beat". Use a propane torch to heat it, grab with pliers...."tap" on with block of wood and hammer

    I doesn't usually take much to install i usually use a piece of pipe and lightly tap it in place.
    97 firehawk m6 with a forged long rod 355 stock heads and intake soon to be upgraded to LE 21* tfs heads and a big ass cam , rpm built level 5 t56 trans s60 with 4.30 gears umi suspension walbro pump and hot wire kit and a spinning best 12.36 @ 114 crap 60 foot.

    Place crank in press, slowly press gear onto shaft.

    Put the gear in the oven,propane, map, oxy fuel torch heat it, it literally slips on without having to be a buffoon.

    I just used a pvc pipe and a hammer. it was not too bad.
    LE1 Heads/Cam, LS1 Lid, 6 Speed, Competition Clutch 2.5, 3.90 Gears, UMI suspension,
    Strano Springs, Strano 35/22mm Sway Bars, Solomon Tune, Magnaflow Catback
