The way I see it, get the sound you want and make up the horsepower elsewhere. I mean if I was worried about horsepower and not sound I would've bought a LS1.

HAHAHA I've heard LS1 owners even say their cars sound like vaccuum cleaners. Anyway, stay away from cherry bombs. They sound great on large-stroke truck motors, but weird on LT1s. Many people love the sound the Hooker Aerochamber, Magnaflow, SLP LM, and Corsa. I believe GMMG get's the popular vote, but it's extremely expensive.
