Will I need bigger injectors?
383, 12ish:1 comp, SR Cam motion cam, TEA heads, Stock intake ported. Here is the build
http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...96-build/page1
With all that being said I currently have a set of 36# accell injectors. I know they arent the best but they worked with the previous setup. Should these be big enough for this setup? Also I have a Walboro 255 pump. Big enough or not enough. Thanks for the input

With an adjustable FPR you might be able to get away with those injectors. I would probably get 42s or larger though. You are going to be pretty close to 100% duty cycle, otherwise.

I like the Aeromotive fuel pressure regulators.
The bad thing about cranking up your fuel pressure to increase injector flow rate is the pump takes a sharp dive off of its rated flow as pressure increases. In my previous build I was running 60 pound injectors at 55 psi on a 400lph pump and ultimately the pump couldn't move enough volume to supply the injectors and it went lean under boost and ate some pistons. Granted, you're not running fi so it may not be as much of an issue for you but after going through that experience I've just always played it safe and went with a larger injector.Chris

If at all possible, take some datalogs, before you go buy injectors. Check to see what the duty cycle is now with the 36's and go from there. On a SR build, Id think 42's would be fine, as long as your N/A. BUT thats my opinion. I've had 42's with my 383 HR setup for years and never had a problem.

Rough guide for injector requirements is to multiply expected flywheel HP by .07.
With that in mind, those 36# injectors are good for a little bit over 500 flywheel...being a solid roller 383, you should be beyond that so stepping up to 42#s would be recommended.93 Medium Patriot Red Z28: Forged 383,GTP'd AFR 220s(@227ccs), LE .7xx" Billet SR,1.7 Shaftmounts,24x,Maxed Supervic,4150 TB. :12 Metallic Spark Black ZX14R: 1.5" drop, GP slipons, -2 Vortex rear. 152mph trap SWB, stock motor...now with Nitrous... :09 Victory Red LS3 Z51 Vette: Blackouts, muffler delete, sub.
