Thread: Timing control for nitrous
-

It was set on 15. I tried it one last time and as I started the car I kept retarding the timing. It will run now.
How can I check timing to see if it's working? I logged idle at 15 then at 0 with that free tuning program RT tuner I think? Im out of free logs with data master.

I dont think logging will tell you the actual timing, only what the ecu is commanding. You'd have to verify it with a timing light. Personally, I was able to tell by SOTP.

Update!!!
After searching the web one last time I found a different set of instructions for the 8680. It mentions the white wire that was cut on mine.
A cut white wire programs it for magnetic pickup. I connected the wire and started right up!!!!
Thank you so much for all your input outcast! Im glad it is up and running properly!!!! Thought I'd let everyone know!!
