I was gonna suggest it. Pull it... flat piece of aluminum stock with a 90 degree... cover the wiring and mount guages. Good chunk of weight there... Originally Posted by Formula218

Glad your house got fixed rather easily and inexpensively.
I'm a recent satisfied MGW owner too having installed mine a couple of weeks ago. MAJOR upgrade over the stock sloppy shifter. I did cut the boot, cut a rectangle but probably could have done it without cutting at all. Very happy with the shifter though any shifter is better than stock.
I think we (in central Texas) usually get the storms 6-12 hours before you guys do. Thankfully we didn't have any problems.
1997 Z28 Z4C, M6 - CAI, MGW, 17" SS wheels, shorties/Stainless Works Y, Magnaflow, stock engine/tune.
