    Default Stumped,,,,,

I have a 96' Buick Roadmaster Collector Edition, LT-1, USED to have a load "SKIP", like it would just cut out,, changed plugs, wires,, no change, got to doing some reading, and thought, what the he11, so ordered a new Opti, in the midst of tear down,, I found my water pump was about to go, so, got down to the opti, pulled it,, and the bearing in it was SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!,, the shaft would move like a hotchie dancer, lol, replaced it, new water pump, etc, all back together,, starts right up, idols GREAT, runs smooth, no more FALL on face like before,,, BUT~~~~~~~!!!!! now,, when you step on it, low power, and like the old time 'out of time' valve lash sound, easy on accel,, runs like a top, even my mileage is near back like before, idiot light on, ran codes, said that CPS had an error,, witch i questioned, since when they go bad,, they go BAD, will not start, period, so,, I changed it out,, STILL
have same problem, and same code, P0336,

    P0336 - Generic
Type Powertrain - Ignition System or Misfire - ISO/SAE Controlled
    Description
Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance
    P0336 - GM
Type Powertrain - Ignition System or Misfire - ISO/SAE Controlled
    Description
    Crankshaft Reference 18X Circuit Conditions
    Cause
Engine running with 3X REF signals present, then the PCM detected that it did not receive any 18X reference pulses in one engine cycle (720 degrees of crankshaft revolution)

I have checked the connections, and wiring,, all looks good,, no cracks or anything,,,, this one has me stumped,, oh yeah,, good fuel pres, good voltage, I run injector cleaner about every 1000, so really don't think it's a Fuel problem,, just has me totally stumped,, any other idea's guys?????? To think all I wanted to do was get rid of a miss under load,, lolol,,
