Default New to LT's, wondering differences.

Hello, new to forum and to LT's. I was curious if there are any differences in impala, caprice, and road master LT's. I just bought my first LT engine and I'm not 100% on the origin. Was told it came from ss impala, but it has a bracket on top for a filter housing like a roadmaster.(?) I'm just trying to get all the facts on this motor before I start planning a rebuild.

All the sedans got the same iron head LT1.

The '96 is OBD2 so it has a different timing cover with a crank position sensor.

Thanks for the reply. It's for sure a 5.7. Other than the iron heads, what made them different that camaro, vettes? Just computer tunes, or are the valves different? Thanks again!
