is the car auto or 6 speed?

    If auto, what stall?

    What gears in rear end?

What RPM are you OK taking the engine up to (600, 6200, 6400, etc)?

Do you already ahve springs you are wanting to use or are you willing to buy $140 in springs or $250 insprings?

I would look at something in the high 210 to mid 220 duration range on intake duration based on it being a 160K mile LT1 and the answers to the above questions.

$300-325 for a custom hyd roller cam shipped to you but I need a lil more info to determine what would be best for you.

Hey Lloyd, thanks for stopping by

    its a 6speed with the stock 3.42s

I think up to 6000 would be my max comfort level.

I have the Comp Cams 918 beehive springs with about 5k-10k miles on the valvetrain

    Thanks again

i guess it depends on what you believe about beehives.

I would use a 218/230 .541/.541 111 LSA cam for power from idle to 6000 RPM but the idle will be slightly more choppy than a Hot Cam.

The lobes are pretty tame, not too aggressive and those spings should be fine with those lobes.

If you believe all of the hype on the BEEHIVES and no worries using aggressive lobes with lots of lift, we can do a 223/231 .574/589 110 LSA cam.

I am NOT a believer in the BEEHIVES and would rather use a milder lobe to allow them to live.

I actually got them before all these posts started popping up with people having problems with them, PLUS I got them really cheap

I definitely am a conservative person (Mechanical Engineer) and do not want a broken valve spring sucking money out of my Project car.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will probably go with the 218/230 .541/.541 111 LSA
