She got an adjunct job at our local community college bit her contract ends in may. We hope they pick her up full time. In the meantime we could really use the unemployment. I'll keep ya updates. This is a mess.

Well hopefully this is the last update I need to make for a while. Thankfully it all good news. She did qualify for unemployment and we have a few more weeks to collect. She picked up 3 weeks at a science summer camp at the community college she is an adjunct at. So after 17 years in public schools she landed a dream of hers job at a private school for this coming year. It is a small Catholic k-8 school run by Oblate Nuns. It is the sister school to the high school my oldest son goes to (and I went to.) Our youngest son is going to the School too as a 1st grader. They offer a steep tuition discount for teachers kids, so it just made sense instead of paying for before and after care for him. Needless to say the pay is not anywhere near her old public school job, but the other benefits outweigh the pay cut. She will have only 20 students, her hours will be much less than the public school wanted, and the discipline is light years better than her old school. To top it all off she got offered a position at a local university as an adjunct and will teach two 7 week classes 1 night a week and the pay is awesome. We have adjusted to living with less for a while now, so we will keep our heads in the same mode for a while till we regain ground and start feeling more relaxed.
