Desil tranny
Does anyone happen to know if a 96-98 durimax tranny is a 4l80e or if it will bolt up to our motor

Unless it is in a van it's an Allison that is behind the Duramax

There were no duramax's in those years regardless.
99 was the first LB7 duramax, and as pointed out, only vans got 80e's. Otherwise A1000 trans.Correlation does not imply causation.

Ok the info on this is dif it's a 93 6.5 and turns out that the trans Is in fact a 4l80e but khall informed me that the 93's were not as good as the 95's and up
