I think what happened to CZ28 was the birth of the 5th gen. I never heard the full story, but I've gotten bits and pieces from comments others have made. It sounds like early on in Camaro5.com's infancy, there were some leaked photos of the new 5th gen that hit the internet. It sounds like CZ28 followed proper protocol and didn't post the images because they were still GM property. Camaro5 went and posted them anyway. Everyone went to Camaro5 to see the images, and the site took off. Now it's the defacto 5th gen forum. LS1tech does well because of the technical forums and the 5th gen still has LSx engines. CZ28 was more 4th gen focused, so once the 4th gen became the "red headed step child" and the 5th gen took focus, CZ28 kind of went to the way side.
Truth be told, I know how they feel. Before the 5th gen came out, MiFBody was the defacto fbody forum/group. Now there's a Detroit 5th Gen group and the 5th gen owners tend to stick to that website and don't peruse my site that often. It seems like 5th gen owners don't like to mingle. For example, on Camaro5 most folks only like reading "Camaro Now" magazine because it's only 5th gen - they don't like "Camaro Performers" magazine because it has the "other" generations in there. When we hang out on Woodward Ave here in Detroit, the 5th gen owners will huddle and talk with eachother while everyone else hangs out together.Last edited by meissen; 12-18-2013 at 07:50 AM.

Yeah, I had a feeling. I know for 4th gen guys, we always joke that 3rd gens are mullet mobiles, "turd gens" etc so it seems only fitting that now the 5th gen guys say the 4th gens are ugly.

I think 5 gens are generally owned by an older group of people where as 4 gens are generally owned by younger people because of the price .
I think the drastic difference in the age and type of owners is what creates the divide and y they dont intermingle.
I never liked cz28 lot of childish people on the site who could wait to ridicule people.
