Engine harness

I am not sure if this is the right forum, but I have a question on my harness. How much of the harness do I need to retain to make the swap into my S10? Ok to make that more clear, do I need any of the harness from the Camaro dash area to do the swap properly?

From under the dash on the inside you won't need anything unless you are going to mod that cluster and use it too.

There were about 8 wires to set up my swap. I used the factory fuse box from the donor car as well.

I thought that the wires for the access port ran in from there?

You just need these 93lt1_connectors1.jpg they run inside on the passanger side and plug in behind the glove box. I took the fuse panel out of the inside of the donor car and made my own fuse panel for the motor under the hood and mounted it to the firewall. So if I have a problem with gauges or any lights etc etc then its inside the truck fuse block and if the computer or anything on the motor loses power its the fuse block under the hood. Keep it simple. Here is a pic of the whole harness. This is a 93 but same concept for the plugs. 93lt1_harness.jpg

On face book there's a guy his page is lt1 swap.com he just put up an awesome article on running the LTx harness as a stand alone. Let me see if I can find the link! I found it but it won't let me post the link. Look him up on Facebook I'm sure all u need should be there, if u have a hard time finding it send me a friend request on fb. I have I right there,it's a complete walk through pics and all.
