    Default Valve cover question?

Okay probably a dumb question for you LT1 guys but this is my first LT1.

Question is, I have a spare set on magnesium valve covers from my old 1990 corvette. They are polished and center bolt style. Will they fit the gen2 engine?

    they are like this

They will physically fit the heads but the stock lt1 covers have a notch to clear the alternator on the passenger side. Did the vette have the alternator or another accessory in the same location? If so, it may work. Would definitely like to see pics of that. I'll bet they look good

I've seen posts where they shaved the bottom of the overhanging part of the alternator to use valve covers without the dent for the alternator.
