I bought a serta pillow top 2 years ago and paid 1400. Within a year I have my body print dip on my side. I weigh 200 and I'm sure it won't be good for bad backs

Yeah..I def think with the back issues...it must be firm or adjustable...soft is gonna allow my back to curve...and thats no bueno.

My wife and I bought a foam mattress a little over a year ago. It was great for the first month.... I've gotten nothing but shit for buying it since
I would never buy a foam mattress again - they retain heat extremely well but that means the bed warms up with you. I'm a very hot body sleeper - and if I get hot at night, I start coughing. When I start coughing, my asthma kicks in. When I really get too hot, I work myself up coughing to the point that I start puking. So needless to say - a bed that stays cool is very important to me and for that reason I would never buy a foam mattress again.
The other sore point with a foam mattress is that you really get your sleeping position squished into the foam where it leaves an imprint. I now "HAVE" to sleep in the same position or else I end up sleeping on a groove in the mattress which is no fun.
That said -- I wish I would have spent the money and gone with a sleep number mattress.Last edited by meissen; 10-07-2013 at 07:04 AM.
