Hello from Southern Indiana
Well I realized I''ve never formally introduced myself or my car on here yet, so here I am.
Name's Kenny. I go to school for finance and am currently a cost analysis engineer at a metal stamping business. We actually make parts for all kinds of motorcycles, cars, and appliances. Tesla, GM, Ford, Dodge, BMW, Fiat, Toyota, VW, Harley, Yamaha, GE, Whirlpool, and Honda are all customers of ours. I actually was one of the first people to see the suspension design for the new Camaro before it came out because I had to quote piece prices for components of the system to make at our work. Pretty neat stuff!
A little background info on myself and the car.... My first car was a 96 V6 camaro that my dad came home with when I was 15. I guess thats when it all started for me. It was in mint condition for being ten years old at the time other than the previous owner had hit a dog. So I bought a new bumper cover and had it painted. From that point on I drove the hell out of that car until I was T-boned by a lady without insurance
After that I spent the next few years building my foxbody and drove that throughout the rest of high school. It was a great car until I nailed a tree doing about 80. Man was I lucky to walk away from that one. lol
So after a year or so just driving my jeep and my little gas saver to work and college I decided I wanted another car almost exactly like my first one only a z28. I found my current car, same color (teal) and an m6 from a local guy. The car had had a rough life and needed paint badly. I bought it pretty cheap and drove it for a while.
One night coming home from college, the engine suddenly got really hot on the interstate and then "blew."
From that point the car sat for about 3 years up until about a month ago when I finally got it running again. In that time period I built the engine myself. I guess it took so long because I was a poor college kid (and still am). Anyways here's what all I've done to the car:
Heads were ported/valve job/upgraded spings
Block was decked/squared/bored and honed .30 over
Reused the stock crank
Pistons are sealed power cheapys I got for free from my buddy Chad (the guy with the white 30th ann procharged car at the shootout this year)
1.6 trickflow NSA RR's with guideplates
Trickflow chromoly pushrods
LE Custom grind cam 232/240 .579/.576 lsa 110 (met LE at the shootout, nicest guy I've ever met)
52mm TB
Deleted AC and all emissions crap
Pacesetter mids
K&N CAI
Cloyes Double roller timing chain
Mezerie Water Pump
32# injectors
I'm running the m6 with a spec stage 3 clutch. My rearend is a "built" 10 bolt that actually came from Chad's car when we picked it up as a roller. It's got an auburn unit with 4.56's.
My car is sanded down and the next step is to paint it. I bought a SS spoiler and a VFN wide Sunoco bolt on hood. Wheels for now are 11" and 9" wide zr1's.
I can't decide what color to paint it. I think I'm between all black and SOM.
Oh and I just picked up a STS turbo kit for it with a t72I never planned to turbo this motor so we'll see what happens!
That's about it for now. Thanks for reading. I've met some of you all at the shootout and I'll hopefully be racing in it next year!
I'll try posting a link to my photobucket album if all my pics ever upload to it.Last edited by KaGe; 09-15-2013 at 08:54 PM.

I'm from Corydon. Was your vert the one that made a pass at the end of the day at the shootout?

Yeah that was us popo. We began tearing his car down this weekend. It's getting an F1 now. I think after he only built about 7 lbs at the shootout, he decided to hell with the D1 haha

He should be seeing more than 7 lbs with a d1. I see just shy of 12 with my p1 on those big Eliminator afr 227s.....
Either way...if hes got the loot...go for it.
Btw...what computer is he running in that car....?
and...
Does this mean we will.see u racing next year as well¿

Yeah I know there is something wrong with his D1 it was set up that day to make 15 lbs but it wasn't. So I think he's just gonna go ahead and upgrade instead of rebuilding the d1.
He's running a stock computer and stock heads. Forged block from Golen engines.
And yes I'll be racing next year. Most likely in the true street and/or ES PA if all goes well!
