Need help fast. Motor mount bushing question with picture.
Hey guys
I followed the instructions from Energy, and the passenger side motor mount bushing looks wrong to me.
Here is a picture of the front of the motor mount (camera is looking toward the firewall).
Instructions said to put the bigger tab on the side of the clamshell that has the holes that are the farthest apart, which is exactly what I did.
It just looks wrong to me. Also, the bolt nearest the firewall, on the top of the mount, is rubbing against the bushing and I have to force the socket onto it. This doesn't seem right, to me.
Thanks for your help!

Man they look good to me. The bolts on the left side will rub a bit against the mount but once you tighten them they will not rub anymore. This is how they should look like:

Ah shoot I knew this would happen.
You say they are fine, and another guy on another forum says they need to be flipped 180 degrees.
It seems that the tabs should run more parallel to the line angles in the upper mount.
SHOOT
Now what do I do?

Man I'm not a 100% confident but I think the mount can only fit one way or you wouldn't be able to align the clamshell wholes.. problem is that as the mount is already in the car, the picture doesn't help much

Well being that it's in the car (not tightened up yet) it seems to me that the tabs should run parallel with the lines of the edges of the bottom part of the upper mount.
The driver's side only goes in one way, due to the large "U" cut out on one side of the mount. The passenger side can go in both the right way and the wrong way.
I appreciate your chiming in! Thank you
