GMT-400 Chevrolet K1500 Headlights for my Dad's truck
The headlights on my Dad's 1997 K1500 have been getting worse over the years and now it's time to replace them. There is always OEM style, but is there something better you C/K guys have that I don't know about? I've read about TYC "Elegante" style headlights, which look like they may light the road better and not get into "ricer world" when it comes to looks. Only thing is we are talking $105 vs $35. Are they that much better if he is going to use factory style bulbs?
Looking for some advice.

As long as you are using halogen blub you should be fine with the less expensive ones. The factory lights are flutted to disperse the beam a bit more sorta like a fog lamp

Ya, I saw they have those flutes. You don't see any reason to spend the extra buck on the clear ones?
The reason I ask is because my Dodge had fluted headlights stock. I bought OEM 'sport' ones that are clear and I think I noticed better lighting. Could have been the foggy old ones I guess...1994 Z28 383ci - Jake's 4L80 - Moser 9" [LE2 heads and LE cam - 121mph @5500DA]
