Well we finally fixed my dad's problem with his '95 Formula...

We sold the damn thing. Bummed that it came to that, but my dad has been chasing his intermittent popping issues for 2 years. Replaced the optispark, coil, plug wires, plugs, PCM, MAF, MAP sensor, IAT sensor, etc etc etc. Really sad that he won't be driving an LTx car anymore... now if he wants to cruise he has to "borrow" my mom's 2012 Camaro.

Talked to the guy who bought my dad's car on Friday -- he has been coming out to Woodward with it the past few times we've been out. He says he fixed the popping and backfiring issue we had with it - says that plug wire #6 was up against the header. In talking to my dad, he said that after we changed the wires and plugs on the passenger side that it did run good for 4-5 days, but then started popping again. Must have been how long it took for the wire to burn through and start arcing. The real test will be when the weather warms up because the car always ran good when it was 60* and below, but get it up to 80*+ outside temp and it would backfire more. We'll see. My dad's been depressed ever since he sold the car... He really liked that car before it started popping and backfiring.
