But that's exactly why I drink n drive on ps3... no where else...I couldn't live with killing someone's loved one...not like that..
I actually met that band about 2 years ago at warped tour. I was actually introduced to their music because of that video because it was on a Trans Am site way back in like 2005. Ironically I almost bought a silver Trans Am before I bought my black 1 and I've had my car since before that song came out. I was actually listening to that song a few weeks ago when I got my speeding ticket. and yes i did think "how could this happen to me?" lol. That's just another coincidence in a long line of coincidences that I've had with the band Simple Plan.

if you watch this vid at the 10:20 mark you will actually hear them referring to me I had sent them a question and I use the twitter name that is similar to my name here and they made some interesting comments about it was pretty funny. I met them about a week after that web chat.

their latest album has a song on it called "gone too soon" which i first heard on fathers day the year after my dad died. if that wasnt ironic enough. i remember reading on their website the day my dad passed away, november 18, 2010, that they had finished the album. my dad passed away from a sudden heart attack later that night. i feel like maybe my dad was sending me a message with that song and some of the events following it. after i moved to FL i heard they were playing warped tour but not coming to FL. then a day or 2 after my birthday they announced more florida shows which is how i got to meet them. like i said lots of erie coincidences. my name and age are the same as the lead singer lol. well my name is peter which is the english version of pierre.

here is the song gone too soon. it exactly describes how i felt after my dad died.

I have some MADD awards from the first few years as a Police Officer.

The best was one night when we had a DUI check point in my TOWNSHIP... Officers from all over the county, sign up for the OT detail. I was not part of the detail, because I was the SHIFT guy, covering the shift.

The check point with 20+ Officers and firefighters (for lighting) got 1 DUI the entire night.... I had 3.....

I was actually calling the tow trucks away from the check point where they were stationed... to come tow for me.

i will admit hearing that song the first time caused me to completely break down. i had actually been doing ok on fathers day till i heard it. there are some very deep and powerful lyrics in that song.

speaking of breaking down and powerful lyrics. this is probably my favorite song by them. it's actually my ringtone. ironically i heard it for the first time right after basically having a nervous breakdown on my 27th birthday in 2006 and felt like i could have written the lyrics myself. yeah another coincidence with their music LOL. it's one of those angsty "i'm sick of all this bullshit" type songs.
