Hi im new to this site so far i like it and i wanted to ask if someone here is running a gm847 cam on stock heads i want to do a cam swap on my car and thinking of going with it what u guys think let me know if im over cammin im not planing on porting heads proly till next summer

I am running it for now on some highly modded heads. I can be run on stock heads, but you are going to have to spin the RPMS up to get anything out of it. I shift at 7k but my motor is built. Stock bottom end and going high rpm is a receipe for a spun bearing.

ok ill just do the 503 then

yea the 503 is a better choice for stock heads and bottom end.

yes a much better choise.I also have that cam, well one close anyways and I shift out at 7k
