It's an auto car though, completly different transfer of torque to the tire. Impressive to say the least anyway!

I have no idea why they told you the new Mickeys won't wrinkle........I know our car is 4000lbs but at 16psi they wrinkle up very nicely! Alot of the x275 guys say that the tire doesn't like to wrinkle or work well when it wrinkles but we haven't had a problem 1 with them....You can't just slap a radial on an expect to go out there and hook, you have to have a lot of seat time to figure out your combo. Like i have said in other posts, i know guys running low 9's with stick cars right here at home on radials, not bias pli's, radials! It is done all over the country.

Your post's are what have me thinking! Keep in mind though the examples you have posted are not torque arm suspension cars and are not at LT1 power levels. You've had luck with them and so have the majority of others (99.5% of which are auto's) but then some can't get them to work. Just proof that not every thing works for every car even if they're similar setups.
M/T I believe is refering to the problem of radial's not rocovering as well as a bias plys should the tire begin to spin or shake. It's no doubt they wrinkle, look at Jeff's car! Bias plys are just much more forgiving and recover quicker should they spin. I am wondering if I have the time and $ involved in getting it to work. I definatly don't have the $ to be a test dummy for others wanting to know if they will consistantly work on an M6 (as consistant as bias plys are)! Then throw in track prep varriables at different tracks and as you've said you have to have alot of time invested to launch consistantly. That's what is making the bias ply so favorable, the proven consistansey given different setups and track conditions with much less data collection time invested.Last edited by 96LT1355Z28; 01-05-2013 at 05:34 PM.

Josh, I have heard that Madman charges a small fee to talk you through getting your car setup to hook like it should. It might be worth giving him a call he would know how to make a radial work.

Already did that, then I bought shocks from him! Between talking to him via phone and email for a year and hanging around Larsons shop. I've gained alot of knowledge I just can't make a decision!
