How big of a Nitrous shot on the 11.58 I have a similar cam I designed then found yours watched all your vids on you tube. The high speed bike ride brought back memories of my teen years. Highest speed above 145mph about 1 inch on speedometer #'s stop at 145 in my 77 Formula Firebird with 3 passengers over 4000lbs worked over Pontiac 400 Engine. Had a Crane Energizer in my 400 Big Block 216 228 .450 .480 Lift 110LSA+4 at 106 with rhoads lifters idled like the stock cam but great power across the band. Never did get my Nitrous added needed a larger carburetor and steeper gears. Cam I want to run now is similar but 112 lobe centers plus 6. Like the way your car pulled in the mid range and very driveable. Did you have any times without the Nitrous?
The TH400 should handle the power well and shift faster. My altitude is 5900ft 7400+Ft DA good to see someone that can make them run in the thin air. Love the way that car launches better than my 11sec supercharged Nova it used to pull the front tires on 5" Centerlines on touchdown things were touchy for a couple car lengths.

Like the high compression and E85 That thing pulls hard from 4000-7000RPM. speaking of which if you hand load Try 23.0 Grains of Hodgdon Benchmark topped with a 115gr fmj with the 6.8 spc. I've had one in Encore contender for ~ 5yrs some good stuff on ar15.com for start loads etc.
Look forward to the results on the Th400 mine had a manual aut valve body shifted so hard would chirp the tires at 20mph cruise handled power excellent only had a 3000rpm stall convertor but the Gary Dyers 4-71 supercharger made things exciting. Sideways 6000rpm bam next gear. The crower cam I had was huge allowed 10lbs boost with 9.7:1 compression and old camel back iron heads was an old 70 vette lt-1. Cam idled between 1000 and 1100 RPM. Thank for the information look forward to more results on the new engine trans combo.Last edited by Viper; 10-27-2012 at 12:41 AM.
