Default Anyone have this combo- 255/40/17 and 285/40/18?

Really want to buy some tires but I'm not sure on the sizes. They are not too far off in sidewall height but I don't know if it will be noticeable. I'm using corvette wagon wheels 17x8.5 and 18x9.5.

My rear wheels are wider than yours, but I think that the 255 is the skinniest you should install on the front.... I am running 275s on my fronts, and I believe they are 8.5s or 9" wheels

Do either of you have a pic of 275's on a 8.5" wheel. I don't want any type of bulge. Every tire I look at says min of 9" for 275's. I was also looking at 265's for the front but the price is like 60+ per tire over the 255.

Alright, I would appreciate it. 275's are about as cheap as 255's so if it works, I could go that way.

It won't bulge. It will be a 1/4 inch difference on each side compared to a 9 inch rim. Now like a 295 on the 8.5 would be way too big. But a 1/4 I don't think will matter.
