it will make the intake louder for sure. If paired with other mods a CAI does help. If it is the only mod, dont expect much, but it dosent hurt.

here are a few pics. It fit under my stock hood with the ABS in the way. It was a 3 inch LONG 90 degree Electrical Conduit elbow (Gray PVC) that you can get a t Lowes. They also have 2 and 2 1/2 ich ones also. It is perfect length to go thru hole in the inner fender where the box was. Pepboys or A/Z should have a ruber elbow or something. You may be able to find one off a different year v6 car that has a longer rubber elbow? I can attest they do help. My 95 avenger if you gunned it off a stop would just take off. Modified a cai my friend had off a Durango and it would squeel first and chirp second. Don't always expect that kind of improvement but made a believer out of me
