    You had to apply to even be considered to purchase it. Sort of like a lottery. GM looked at your credentials too. They didn't want the cars collecting dust in someone's collection. If you got picked to be able to purchase one, you got a certificate, and once you received your certificate you had a week to come up with the funds or you were skipped over. Needless to say all of them were sold right away. Only 69 will be built. There is an option package to purchase all 3 available engines and have them all serial numbered to your car as well.
