Default gotta turn in a 4l60e for core. which one to keep?

Im changing the transmission on my dads 94 vert. It had been rebuilt at one time but deep transmission pans, lowered f-bodys, and bumpy roads don't jive. My brother cracked the pan and it bled out on the highway. Now its slipping in 2nd. We have found a good used one from a salvage yard and I need to return a core. I've got that one and one out of a 96 l99 caprice that I'm not sure the condition of. I read somewhere that the one out of the caprices were less desirable because of a smaller servo but I'm not sure if this would matter if it was getting rebuilt anyways. If it makes any difference (in a swap) I have 95 lt1 pcms as well as the 96 caprice pcm with harnesses. What would you do?

I just realized the pcm I have from the "caprice" is obd 1. But the engine is coded 96. I need to run the numbers on the trans, it may not be from a caprice after all....

After digging the grime off the trans that came out of the "caprice" I found the code 5ffd which means its a out of a 95 Camaro. Probably going to hang on the that one since my spare pcms are 95's.
