How much play should there be in the water pump drive?
I took off everything I have to reuse off my old motor, and the water pump drive seems to have alot of side to side & up & down movement plus a grove in the smoth part that rides on the seal. Is this reuseable or do I need another.

then get another, that part needs to fit like a glove. Any wiggle will just end up being you sitting on the side of the road with an overheating motor down the road.
Get a new one a good slap of waterproof grease on both ends and enjoy.Last edited by LT_ONE; 03-13-2012 at 06:27 AM.
