Default Whats a good place to browse ATVs?

So, sometime (hopefully this year), I will be in the market for a Yamaha Raptor 700 (4-wheeler). Looking for the fuel injected years (I believe 2007). I have tried a few searches online, but have not really came up with anything positive.

Is there a ATV trader forum or something anyone knows about that is good? Or at least has a lot of adds to look through?

Ebay or craigslist are your best bets.

When the new 700 engine cam out from Yamaha it was fuel injected. Didn't matter if it was in the Rhino, Grizzly, or Raptor. So all of the YFM 700R (Raptors) are FI. You can even go into the ECM & adj fuel trim. But Someone would have to walk you through the process. Not something you will find in a book. It was the 660 models that were carb. The YFZ 450 is another good quad. Craigslist is a good place to look, but I am kinda bias to the dealership...lol.

Thanks for the info. I don't like spending that kind of money on eBay (have had friends buy cars that got ripped off big time). But Craigslist has proven to show some good results.

Thanks project for the info. I know I want a Raptor 700, but didn't know that all of them were fuel injected. Anything specific I should look for when checking out a used one from someone?

Compression is a good place to start. 64 psi is standard as there is a decompressor on the cam. Air filter is another thing to look at. If the air filter is really dirty or torn up then there is a chance of dirt injestion into the cylinder. It is a nikasil plated cylinder so if its worn out its a few hundred bucks to get it replated. Make sure it starts & runs. Check the brakes as well as the chain & sprockets. If the sprockets look like hooks then they are worn out. If the chain is adjusted all the way out then it is worn out as well. Don't just take a link out to get more adjustment, replace it. Ask if it has been serviced on a regular basis. Depending on the year, Yamaha does offer an extended warranty program. Its called YES. Hope this helps.

Awesome. I will look for those when the time is right. Fortunately for me, I have a good friend that works at a local ATV shop, and can get anything I need serviced if it comes to it.
