Any interest in builder turbo kits?
Any interest in builder kits? What I mean is perhaps the following:
Option 1 - cast manifold hotparts (manifolds and crossover, T4 flange and support bracket)...with no wastegate or wastegate provision and no downpipe (that is up to the owner to finish).
Option 2 - Cast manifold hotparts all hotparts tack welded together (manifolds and crossover, T4 flange and support bracket, and downpipe with wastegate stub pipe for customer to weld on wg flange). Customer does all the finish welding - manifolds will be welded by me).
i am trying to come up with budget options for customers that can mig weld, and want to give it a shot in building a kit (with my help of course).
Thoughts?
Here are some pics of Option 1 - except I was doing the downpipe for this one and using SLP headers instead of manifolds. I still need to connect the crossover to the drivers header in the pics

Ive actually been meaning to ask you about this. What would the price difference be between the 2 options? Would all the necessary materials to finish be included in the kit? Do you have any prices in mind?

Right now the Cast Manifold hotparts and 40mm JGS wastegate sells for $1300 + shipping
I am thinking the builder kits would sell for:
option 1: $700 + shipping (Fully welded but you make your own DP and wastegate pipe)
option 2: $700 + shipping (includes all tubing for the kit tack welded together, just do the finish welding and add your Wastegate flange). Great option for someone that don't have the time to test fit and layout hotparts... just weld.
Builder kits are just for stock manifold builds for now.Last edited by RealQuick; 11-22-2011 at 07:59 AM.

The builder kits would use stock manifolds... and would look identical to this one.
Option 1 would not have the downpipe or wastegate pipe.
Option 2 would have everything shown, just tack welded together. The manifolds would be fully welded though (vbands and any piping attached to manifolds)
BTW, the following hotparts will be for sale for $1000 shipped fully completed (minus the wastegate flange)

This is how the cast manifold kits will be laid out.
BTW, this completed kit is for sale for $1000 + shipping. just weld on your wastegate flange and the hotparts are complete.
