Hey Puckster... How they hangin'?
Yeah... and there's a long way to go.
My Mickey's spent most of the last 2-1/2 years baking in the back seat, so I didn't even bother to load them up.
We pulled three passes, all falling between 8.60 and 8.63. The best 60 was a 2.23... Did everything I could to to feather her out, but she wouldn't grab anywhere in 2nd... and only hit after a healthy bark into 3rd.
She still trapped an 88 and a couple of low 89s.
Nasty wreck, and if anyone has a prayer in 'em, please send one up for Dude. He apparently hit the wall after passing the trap... I don't know what he turned that pass, but he has turned a 5.6x at 130.xx..., something snapped and they said he hit the wall hard. Left in an ambulance... Hope he's alright.96 Z LTx. 396 Forged Eagle BE, AFR195s, CR 12.5:1 Comp Ultra-Pro Mag1.6 RRs, Lt-4 Intake, 42lb FI, 58mm TB, Comp 292XFI Cam, Kook LTs, PerformaBuilt Lvl-3, SS 3600, 4" DS, Spooled Strange D-60 w/5.13s, BMR K-mem & A-arms, Hotchkis out back, Mazeire, MSD Digi-6 , Nano-N2O, 75 shot: 7.28 @ 95.7 1.6 60' - New Build: NA-SF 7.4 1.6 60' 93 Mph

Ouch, 2.23 60' is worse then stock LOL. That beast wants to run, but can't get any traction.
Honestly I would hold off on the track till its better sorted out. A build that powerful without the right tire/suspension can be pretty dangerous - be careful out there!93 Medium Patriot Red Z28: Forged 383,GTP'd AFR 220s(@227ccs), LE .7xx" Billet SR,1.7 Shaftmounts,24x,Maxed Supervic,4150 TB. :12 Metallic Spark Black ZX14R: 1.5" drop, GP slipons, -2 Vortex rear. 152mph trap SWB, stock motor...now with Nitrous... :09 Victory Red LS3 Z51 Vette: Blackouts, muffler delete, sub. I been thinking the same thing, this mornin'. I've got an appointment in a couple of weeks with a speed shop over in Boca. Hoping they can help me dial her in. I'm jazzed, as I've always done everything my self... or with the usual suspects. I don't know JACK about these things, accept what I have read on these threads, in the magazine and tech books. So hopefully, these guys can really cut her loose.
Had my son-in-law out with me last night, I pulled onto his road, threw the hammer at around 35, she spun all the way through 2nd and and third up to almost 60 mph.
We felt better about it, right around there. I'm thinking maybe more rubber outback... we're only running 275-40s on 17" centerline rims
I've got a set of adjustable shocks, we got the fronts on, but the rears haven't made it on yet.
I don't have time for it and my buddies are busy doing' their own thing, so I guess I'll have to pay those guys to finish her up.
How's your build comin'?Last edited by OVA1; 10-08-2011 at 12:37 PM.

Went out to the Z to see if I had not tossed in disgusts, one of my time slips. And found the last of 'em.
In it I found some pretty good info:
R/T: .2612
60': 2.6226
330': 5.9088
1/8th: 8.6281
Trap: 90.14 Mph
So... despite my best efforts; after two and a half years of down-time, to feather her out of the hole, we spun, got-out, spun, got-out and managed to SUCK our way to a 2.62 60'.
Requiring that we use up 5.90 second to go 330'... BUT we covered the next 330' in 2.5 secondsposting up a respectable 90+ mph trap, NA on amail tune.
That's not as bad as I was thinkin' it was.
Knock that 60' down to 1.6 and we're looking at mid-low 7s... NA on the Mail-tune. Which is cool... cause we still got the Dyno-tune, AND the JUICE to setup.
And given what we can safely shove in there now, that is gonna be SICK!96 Z LTx. 396 Forged Eagle BE, AFR195s, CR 12.5:1 Comp Ultra-Pro Mag1.6 RRs, Lt-4 Intake, 42lb FI, 58mm TB, Comp 292XFI Cam, Kook LTs, PerformaBuilt Lvl-3, SS 3600, 4" DS, Spooled Strange D-60 w/5.13s, BMR K-mem & A-arms, Hotchkis out back, Mazeire, MSD Digi-6 , Nano-N2O, 75 shot: 7.28 @ 95.7 1.6 60' - New Build: NA-SF 7.4 1.6 60' 93 Mph

HEY! I completely forgot that I decided not to re-install the rusty old dumps on that beautiful new stainless setup. So there's a minimum of 2/10ths on the big end... right there.
I can't believe I forgot about those guys.
Looking for a set of Stainless 3" cutouts... for the Doug's 3" electrics. Anyone got a resource?96 Z LTx. 396 Forged Eagle BE, AFR195s, CR 12.5:1 Comp Ultra-Pro Mag1.6 RRs, Lt-4 Intake, 42lb FI, 58mm TB, Comp 292XFI Cam, Kook LTs, PerformaBuilt Lvl-3, SS 3600, 4" DS, Spooled Strange D-60 w/5.13s, BMR K-mem & A-arms, Hotchkis out back, Mazeire, MSD Digi-6 , Nano-N2O, 75 shot: 7.28 @ 95.7 1.6 60' - New Build: NA-SF 7.4 1.6 60' 93 Mph

A 90mph trap in the 1/8th is easily into the 7's. Get some tires on it first thing.
