Lamentation Thread

Without too much fanfare, my car is sold and rolling on its way to Myrtle Beach, SC. Just thought I'd say I'm a little sad it's leaving my possession. A little over two years ago I had less than 48 hours to get it buttoned up and rolling so I could make my date with the 2009 Power Tour. My son and I Long Hauled it without any huge issues (some of you might remember the exhaust issues). About a year after that I ran it down to Warner Robbins, Georgia to hang out with Sean and his crew. All-in-all I've probably put around 5k miles on it without any major issues. I definitely have put a lot more money into it care to talk about, nor did I get out of it. We all know (or should know) it's that way when we drop money on our cars. Only people like Jpack seem to come out smelling like a rose in this department ( You ARE the man Jim!). Anyway, I'm not going to make this a book ... I just have to get it off my chest so I can move on. What are my plans for the future? The more I read about the ZL1, the more I like it. I'm definitely thinking hard about it, but it will have to wait until I can afford it. I just hope GM doesn't do something stupid and get rid of it before I get things in order to buy one. We'll see. Until then, I'm without something to rod around in. Well, maybe I'll start working on that LS3 headed LQ4/9 408 for my truck ... hmmmm. Oh the places we will go.
